Introducing My Family To My Parents

I have found time for myself. I went to bed and slept. But I can't sleep. Unexpected thoughts of my parents are constant intrusions in my mind. It has been a long time since I have been back to Malta, my homeland. I haven't heard anything from them in years. I don't know how to contact them. All of my friends left with me to find work in other countries. To get my mind off my worries, I turned on my computer.I wanted to dispel the loneliness I suddenly felt, I went online. Seeing her message excited me. It turned it was from a neighbour back in Malta. What happened was she was on Facebook one time and saw that we both were friends with someone. She had asked that friend if she knew how to contact me. He was the one who gave my email address to her. She gave me an update on my parents' condition. They were eager to know how I am. She went on to tell me of an uncle's recent death. I remembered that particular brother of my mom, he was very generous to our family. He would also give presents to all of us children on our birthdays.

I decided right there and then to visit Malta. I don't need to seek an affordable family holidays to Malta to go there. I will bring my wife, son and daughter so that my parents can meet the members of my family. I had to tell everyone about my decision over dinner that night. I expected them to balk at my decision, but they didn't; they loved the idea.

I disclosed to my newly acquainted neighbor that we will visit my parents but she should not reveal that information. However, she let on that they would have house guests shortly. My parents were perplexed but they trusted the neighbor so they acted on the information given them. They arranged the backyard and cleaned the house. My parents were so delighted to see us. My mother and father took turns to shower me with hugs and kisses. Then I introduced my wife, son and daughter. They too were received happily by my parents. They lavished hugs and kisses on my family, too. We brought gifts for my mom and dad. They were so moved because of the gifts. We also visited the family of my late uncle. Before we left, my parents told me to get in touch with us from time to time. I nodded happily.

We all have different preferences when it comes to choosing a destination where one spends his holidays. When it comes to holiday destinations, there is no place better for me than Italy. Many may not agree with me as France may be a better holiday destination for them; however, it is its history that lures me to Italy. Of course, Italy is where the city of Florence is located. Florence or Firenze in Renaissance times is the home of many renowned Renaissance artists and inventors. Most notable of these is Leonardo da Vinci, a name known for his iconic Mona Lisa painting. Da Vinci was also an inventor and, in fact, he has several theoretical inventions that were military in nature like the initial theoretical helicopter as well as a hang glider. My Unforgettable Mnarja Feast in Malta

My best friend asked me to go with her to Malta. I was so excited and so excited. She said we will participate in the Mnarja festival. This feast is also called L-Imnarja to give thanks to Saints Peter and Paul. This feast is a national festival of Malta and it is celebrated every June 29. It was a chance for me to see other international locations and visit exotic places. I was full of excitement! Since we were invited, we forgo studying luxury holidays to Malta.

We prepared the paperwork that are needed, making sure they are updated. We also visited our family doctor for the necessary shots needed for the journey. Our bags were all packed and ready for our airline flight. We purchased extra batteries to make sure our cameras don't run out of power during picture-perfect moments. We started the adventure at the airport terminal. Many of our friends and family were there to see us. We had loads of fun and took lots of pictures. The roads of Malta were alive with activities. We were entranced by the magic of the place. But we didn't forget to take some pictures of the places we see. We discovered that L-Imnarja was a very important feast in the Maltese culture. This feast was extracted from the Roman feast of Luminaria. This literally means "illumination." Since its beginning, the festivities began with a reading of a "bandu." The bandu symbolizes an official and formal announcement of the government. The most incredible sight during the celebration was the procession of torches, which took place at night.

The family that invited us were incredibly generous. They prepared mouthwatering meals for us. Some were rather familiar while others are entirely exotic. We just wolfed down everything, and tasting exotic food was an experience we will continue to cherish. To our enjoyment all the food that we tasted were all amazing. We were also toured to some of the most note-worthy places to see in Malta. We visited St John's Co-Cathedral and prayed there. We saw the ornate interiors of the church and its stunning marble floor. We learned that the Order of the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem worshiped there.
